On June 25, 2026, specialists and managers from production, IT, and quality management gathered at Schnupp GmbH & Co. Hydraulik KG in Bogen to tackle a common question: How can production be made more efficient, transparent, and safer—all at the same time—without increasing complexity?
The answer didn’t come from a marathon of theoretical presentations, but rather from a compact day filled with practical insights, two plant tours, and in-depth discussions.
Data Quality, Cybersecurity, and AI in Synergy
The program covered three closely related topics. In his keynote address, Philipp Gläßer of CSP Intelligence GmbH demonstrated why data quality, traceability, and compliance form the cornerstones of secure production. Gerald Hahn of AEGYS DATALYTICS AG made it clear how cybersecurity goes far beyond mere protection and improves the quality of real-time decision-making in production. Finally, Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Jivka Ovtcharova from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology linked virtual and real-world security to the topic of AI and clarified where artificial intelligence creates real added value in production—and where it does not.
Thomas Spitzer and Franz Spanfeldner from Schnupp GmbH & Co. Hydraulik KG provided the practical context, bringing real production environments to life through a keynote presentation and a factory tour. Bernhard Baumgartner from the VDMA Bavarian Regional Association also accompanied the participants throughout the day.
From the Lecture to the Production Floor
What made this day special were the two plant tours. Instead of just talking about processes, participants stood right in the production area and were able to see concrete implementations with their own eyes. The coffee breaks, the lunch break, and the closing session provided opportunities to reflect on the day’s experiences and make new connections.
Thank you to everyone involved
A heartfelt thank you goes to Schnupp GmbH & Co. Hydraulik KG for their hospitality and the insights into their production, to all the speakers for their insightful contributions, and to the VDMA Bavarian Regional Association for organizing the event. Our greatest thanks, however, go to the participants, whose questions and contributions made the day a true exchange of experiences.
