With CHRONOS 7, a new chapter begins for us.
After intensive development, fine-tuning, and over 95 user stories, the time has come: the latest version of our archiving solution is here – offering more convenience, more intelligence, and a clear focus on what really matters to our users.

A release that feels noticeably different

Our goal was not just to further develop CHRONOS, but to rethink it – technically, visually, and in everyday use.
CHRONOS 7 delivers a more modern interface, increased automation behind the scenes, and significantly improved performance.

🗂️ New Archive Explorer

The Archive Explorer has been completely redesigned, both visually and functionally.
A clear side menu, simplified filter options, and additional upload formats (CSV and OpenDocument) make daily work significantly more comfortable.
The user manual and styling options for downloads have also been fully revamped.

⚙️ More intelligence in the backend

Under the hood, a newly developed CHRONOS mapping system provides greater transparency and easier integration of different databases.
Automatic repository updates, redesigned notifications, and the option to send only error emails increase efficiency and stability.

🤖 CAIA – our AI assistant

With CAIA (CHRONOS Artificial Intelligence Architect), artificial intelligence is being introduced in CHRONOS for the first time.
CAIA supports the creation and maintenance of archive configurations with intelligent suggestions and automations – enabling faster results with fewer manual interventions.

👥 User Management System 2.0

The completely rebuilt User Management System 2.0 is now a standalone service with a modern web interface and integrated repository database (additional databases are supported).
This makes managing users, roles, and permissions much easier – and administration more efficient than ever before.

📊 Better oversight with ChronMon

CHRONOS Monitoring – ChronMon introduces the first dedicated web client for system monitoring.
It displays the status of all servers and jobs in real time, provides detailed archive views, and greatly simplifies system management.
